Artist Showcase: Jackson Margolis

Art has always been at the center of Jackson Margolis’s life. After studying art and design at Pratt Institute and graduating in 2020, the pandemic brought Jackson back to their hometown. In 2022, they discovered the world of custom framing and joined Chesapeake Framing Co., where they continue to stay closely connected to creativity.

Jackson’s artistic practice ranges from mixed-media abstracts to surreal fantasy drawings, often exploring themes of the Anthropocene, love, humanity, and the sacred within the everyday. A self-described lifelong amateur—always curious, always experimenting—Jackson is on a constant quest to make discarded or overlooked materials beautiful. Beyond studio work, they simply love being crafty and finding joy in the act of making.
