Artist Showcase: Leonid Bendersky
After a successful scientific career (30+ year with NIST), Leonid is now a full-time practicing and exhibiting artist. Leonid’s artistic career span working in different media: sculpture (mostly direct wood carving), ceramics, photography, and pastel painting. For the last few years Leonid’s entire focus is on oil and acrylic painting. His primary subjects are people and observations-based abstracts. Leonid strives to transcend the boundaries between representational art and modern abstraction. Such giants as Matisse, Braque, Diebenkorn are influencing his style. In this show Leonid presents his latest paintings and some drawings (2021-2023).
